I've been having some trouble with my feet lately... specifically the very top of my foot up to my big toe. What began as a strange electrified sensation all the way up my toe when I pointed it turned into numbness in the big toe and I finally made an appointment to see Dr. V podiatrist extraordinaire. After x-rays and seeing every bone in my foot (very, very cool), Dr. V and I found an answer. Turns out I have a bone spur and the nerves on the top of my foot are no longer happy. Seems like they might have turned angry after the years of torture I've put them through with straps and heels and a very unpleasant pedicure message a while back but no... turns out the bone spur has them most unhappy.
So in an effort to save sensation in my big toe (and Dr. V. tells me my balance... hopefully my mother is reading this) I have to make some changes. Luckily, the spur isn't related to my really unfortunate choice in shoes, so I can wear anything that doesn't apply pressure to the spur. I was one step ahead of him and bought these shoes last week. Cute and doctor approved.
