Strips and Bricks Quilt designed by A Stitch in Dye for Sew Hip Magazine
I'm in love with that quilt. The simple lines. The soft colors. The linen/cotton blend. I looove this quilt and have placed it into the queue. Inspiration to finish the quilt I've been currently working on for oh, a month now (a simple pieced quilt at that)... Anyway, the Strips and Bricks Quilt was designed and created by Malka Dubrawsky who has a little blog I love to visit called A Stitch in Dye, visit if you can, she has a way with color.
The first time I saw the quilt though was on Red Pepper Quilts, so we'll blame it on Rita and her absolutely phenomenal sense of what works in a quilt:
Rita's version is a lot like the original, but oh so amazing. I love how seemlessly the colors work together along with the dots and stripes. And it is for sale in her Etsy Shop... what a fantastic way to say Happy Birthday don't you think? Nooo, must start my own, I'm a quilter now... but a girl can dream and admire for sure. Love that quilt.
