Michael Angove's Fairy Clock for Liberty of London...
Oh you elusive Fairy Clock fabric... how I love this print, how impossible it is to find... sigh. This weekend finds me not adding at all to my fabric stash, I'm trying to get some work done on the outside quilt before spring makes another appearance (the weather man said 80 for Saturday). Instead, I thought I'd bring you some Liberty of London fabrics that I would so buy if I was a Powerball winner... or the dog's teeth didn't need cleaning (and they really, really do)... or I was independently wealthy (I'm not, really, really not)... So for the Sunday stash, feast your eyes on $35 a yard...

In the nearly two years I spent in England, I visited London on a pretty regular basis, and very nearly went to school there... never once did I go to the Liberty Store - a mere 15 minute walk from Russell Square Station I used to get off at around the school. Now as a sewer and fabric collector (sounds better that way doesn't it?) I shudder to think of the damage I might do in the Liberty Store, which I'm quite sure I walked past several times...
And the inside...

"Bring me to Liberty or bring me to..." no that's something else. Oh the fabric... oh the floors and floors of fabric... In the meantime, this little print from Ikea is kind of gorgeous...
and at $6.00 a yard... a bit easier to come by for sure.
