Just popping in to say hello and wish you all a very happy Solstice. Sewing, baking, packing, sending and wrapping have been occupying our time... there seems to be such things to do! I feel (though sick) much more content with sitting back and taking things as they come, much more so than Thanksgiving. Possible denial you ask, possibly... but I feel our little mostly-handmade Christmas is coming along just as it should. I hope you are enjoying this winter season with all of its reasons to celebrate as we have... Right now I'm loving...
* Rob's homemade Chicken, Leek and Mushroom soup... if you don't visit Cook's Illustrated you should - and fast!
* The distinct lack of fussing from my Bernina.
* Baker's Twine, though who knew you needed to buy it in September to find any for the holiday season?
* Christmas in July... as in make your Christmas gifts in July so you actually have time to finish them.
* Little Folks fabric and this duvet... I have to make it.
* Tutorials, really thoughtfully detailed ones (more on this after Christmas).
* That the dog has reached her bad quotient with eating just one box of cookies and fudge and now seems to be decidedly sweet.
* Pottery Barn inspiration...
* Some time off to sew just because.
* This dress for Christmas Eve, though silk and arctic air mass here in the North East just sounds cold.
Have a lovely holiday season, I can't wait to share all that has been prepared and planned for ours. See you soon!
