Of late, frustration has been the course of the day... for no real reason and sometimes for inexplicable ones. I'm attempting to weather the storm, sometimes successfully, sometimes very unsuccessfully. Most recently it centered around a piece of machinery... My poor little sewing machine has been seeing major action lately (more to come on that when I pop new batteries into my camera...) I've been furiously sewing for surprises, for travel, for small gifts. My machine protested when I asked it to make button holes, semi-understandable - the slide to the right, the down, the up, the back around. But today, while making a last minute gift for someone I love, the aforementioned machine began making strange sounds, eating my fabric and generally making a mess of what should have been a fine project. There is a silver lining to this cloud - this wonderful man who lives here too, we think. The one who takes over in my moments of emotional upheaval, the one who cleans the kitchen and the toilet because I find it a little gross, the one who resets the modem when it wont allow Typepad, the one who finds some way, anyway to get me to laugh. So this post, not the ode to sewing projects I expected, is a big thank you to the calm in the storm. Love you.
