Signs of change abound. We passed the first shock of color weeks ago, bits of coral looking a little out of place amongst the green leaves. For a teacher in the middle of the precious moments that constitute summer vacation, change can be a bit of an anxiety provoker. Why does summer feel like the season that escapes us? Summer means time - time to breathe, time to lay on a hammock set up for the purpose of pleasure reading and lemonade-ice tea drinking, time to sew and linger over stitches and fabric choices, time to play and create, time to explore and wander, time to pick and can. In an effort to linger over these last few weeks, I think a taking stock is in order. There has been an extraordinary amount of summer things happening here... and I'd like to share. From the garden to canning to traveling and creating, I'd like this little blog to be about life in its simplicities as we live it here. Thank you for stopping by and watching as I turn over a new leaf.
