Kylie has taken to barking at us when we sneeze... it's pretty funny. That bit of levity and a really good night's sleep is putting things into perspective and making me see the bright side of things a bit more lately. Speaking of bright, how amazing are those stunning blankets? I love the woven look of almost plaid, and of course I love the colors. I'm feeling the itch to finish some projects, and though I had the day off sewing didn't happen. I think I just really needed a bit of a lazy day... though we had some errands to run. Curled up with the dog (who can't believe we have the nerve to sneeze), I found some really amazing inspiration in the form of some really amazing tutorials and patterns. A few were purchased. Here's what I'm loving...
* The Wiksten Tova and Tank - I love that these are now available as PDFs... sold! I've seen such wonderful work done with these patterns and have been anxious to dip my toe in the garment sewing waters for a while now, I think these will be perfect for fall. I love Kerry's sew-a-long here for tips and advice.
* Noodlehead's Open Wide Zippered Pouch - This free tutorial is genius... with three different sizes available, I just love the method of sewing panels to the zipper. Great idea and seems super easy. This is a must make for sure.
* Lined Curtains via Anna's Nest - again, another free tutorial. I bought a whole bunch of this fabric for the loft window and a whole bunch of this fabric for a new shower curtain. So yeah, lots of curtain making in my future. I really appreciate how Anna includes the formula for how to convert these instructions for any window and her video on blind hem stitching... savior.
* Film in the Fridge's Pillowcase Tutorial - still a favorite, Ashley's instructions are so clear and the process of making these is very, very quick. I think some new cases are in store for this winter.
