I decided to take a break from my half square triangles and use these beautiful fabrics from Pat Bravo's new line "Indie" to make a quick lap quilt for our bed. The prints remind me of stepping in to Anthropologie, maybe that's why I love them so. It is a very rare occurance for me to cut into a stack of fabric on the day they arrive, but so it was with these, I think that might be because I also have my eye on some other lines (my wallet should be taken from me, really). Anyway, I bought my lovely FQ bundles at Hawthorne Threads and they shipped amazingly fast. I love shopping there. The plan is to sew those 5'' squares into a random and simple patchwork pattern. Quick, easy and certainly really beautiful. I'm thinking of maybe having a splurge on that beautiful melon colored print for the backing. I can also see a really beautiful whole cloth/hand tied quilt made with that print though so I'm undecided as of yet. How lovely is "Indie"?
