I'm wondering how to accurately convey my absolute delight when there simply are. no. words. A little back story. I've been so looking forward to the arrival of Liberty's Lifestyle prints since they made their lovely debut at Quilt Market. Imagine my excitement when I heard that Purl Soho would be having a launch party for the new line... just a car-train-subway ride away! I imagined it a perfect chance to take a break from thesis writing (which is the reason for the radio silence around these parts lately, if you didn't know) help celebrate this new fabric's arrival, maybe pick up a small cut of a print or two and definitely scoop up some macarons to celebrate Rob's homecoming (he spent the first few weeks of July working in Colorado). Well... researching, organizing, and drafting took hours. Hours and hours and hours. I knew there was no way I would be able to hand in my draft and make it to the launch party... devestated! The next day while waiting for feedback about my draft, an email popped up from Purl about Liberty Lifestyle and I opened it thinking it was a reminder the prints were now available for purchase... even better! Turns out I was one of the two randomly chosen winners of an entire FQ bundle from those that commented on their launch announcement. Ack! So, so happy. I honestly never win anything and was just overjoyed when this gorgeous bundle arrived today.
This bright spot and surprise win has followed on the heels of an incredibly difficult summer. The details aren't important but it went a little like: insane class schedule, Lyme Disease, Antibiotic 1 (hello nausea!), Thesis drafting, Antibiotic 2 (which was a joy also!), rare form of conjuctivitus, eye drops X2. This week is my very last week of class and my final draft of my thesis should be delivered on Friday. Silver lining indeed!
So what would you do with this bundle of gorgeous? I have all kinds of ideas for it. I'm thinking Anna Maria feathers, maybe a scrappy Swoon Quilt? In the meantime, I get to stare at these lovelies while I finish up the long and difficult journey... the end is in sight my friends!
